"The Django"

Why the name "Django" do you ask? This guitar, donning the colors of the Belgium Flag, got its name from famous Belgian Jean Baptiste "Django" Reinhardt, inventor of the two-finger guitar playing technique (1910-1953). Reinhardt, a gypsy, began his musical career with violin but turned to the guitar for rehabilitation of his left hand, which had been badly damaged in a caravan fire -- pioneering a style of play that involved just two fingers.
